After his previous post on "F.A.V.O.R.I.T.E. Acronym", Chris is sharing with us more great content on his Cold Call Tips!
"A few cold call tips... based on a few (hundred thousand) cold calls...
1. State your full name upfront.
"They don't care who you are," some will say.
That's not the point.
The point is, powerful people state their full name.
And your 'subcommunication' on a cold call, matters more than your words.
2. Proactively state what company you're calling from.
If you don't, they'll ask.
And if they ask, now you're on the defensive. And you're backpedaling.
"the person who asks the questions controls the conversation."
^That is especially true in cold calling.
3. State the reason you're calling.
Same logic as the above.
Humans crave reasons.
So give it to them.
4. Sell the problem.
The key to booking meetings on cold calls?
'if you can articulate their pain better than they can articulate it themselves, they'll automatically assume you have the right solution.'
Give those a try.
What would you add?
P.S.
Cold calls and cold email together create a 2+2=10 situation.
