Our New Leader to Follow on LinkedIn - Florian Decludt on his Running Cold Email Campaign

Updated: Dec 14, 2022

If you want to know what are the 4 Key Things for Running a Cold Email Campaign, in Florian's post you'll definitely find out: "I've been writing cold email sequences for more than 15 months now.

Some were amazing.

Other were average.

A few were downright terrible.

4 things moved the needle:

1. Landing in inbox.

Sounds obvious but if your emails land in spam, no one's going to read them.

Let alone pay attention to what you have to say.

Make sure your domain is warm and in good standing to maximize your odds.

2. The list.

Some audiences are really receptive to cold emails.

Others lose their s*** and threaten to sue you (including some VP of sales actually - ironic, I know).

Reach out to the right people and you'll make your life a lot easier.

3. The ask

My best campaigns never asked for much.

- Never asked for a meeting

- Never asked for a sale

- Never asked for a signup.

My best campaigns asked one of 2 things:

- Opinions (people love giving their opinion)

- Interest (simple yes or no question. Easy to answer = more answers).

4. The value proposition.

It has to be:

- Clear

- Valuable to your audience.

Clear enough that you can express it in fewer than 35 words without losing the essence.

Valuable enough to your audience to make them want to find out more.

So when running a cold emailing campaign.

Make sure you crush all 4:

- Deliverability

- An awesome list

- A clear (and low) ask

- A clear (and valuable) value proposition.

It'll set you apart from 97% of cold emails out there."
